Stainless Steel Passivation

Stainless Steel Passivation is used to make a stainless steel surface 'passive'. This is usually achieved by the deposition of a layer of oxide on the surface of the metal. Passivation is used for surfaces for which resistance to corrosion is very important, because the passivation forms a hard non-reactive surface that stops any further corrosion.

Anopol can carry out passivation for stainless steel at either one of our processing plants in the West Midlands or the South of England. We can also provide a range of products for passivating stainless steel for those wishing to carry out their own processing.
