Deburring

Deburring is completed on stainless steel using an electrochemical machining process. Precision workpieces made of metal are deburred because the edges of the piece are hard to reach, and therefore cannot be machined by traditional methods. In this process, a salt or glycol solution and electricity is used to dissolve the burr in 5 to 10 seconds. The rest of the workpiece is left unaffected, which makes this process highly accurate because it targets only the burrs on the metal.
